I am having a time here

Ever since starting the Vlog over on youtube I'm finding myself with less and less to put up here. I guess I always intended to have the Vlog replace this blog, I just thought I would have something to put up here.

Thus, this blog will no longer record my life or anything like that. That will be the Vlog on my Youtube channel. Instead, this place will be where I geek/nerd out over stuff that I have an interest in. As such, many of you readers back home will find very little of relevance here from now on. I apologize if you prefer this to my vlogs, but this is the decision I've made. So with that, my personal Vlog channel one last time and I bid thee adieu.

Late post, busy weekend, needed to chilax

The IBC is truly interesting. The group I was working with decided to disband and join another group. And it was our teachers' idea. We were trying to offer some sort of service (specifically an event) but we were feeling less and less thrilled about it once we started trying to figure out costs and what we would need to charge. It's nice that we have the freedom to ditch ideas in this manner. I'm not sure what I'll be working on next but I'll be sure to put that in the vlog. Today we finally have a Principles of Management class period. It feels like so long. This is what happens when the schedule is specified as being rather flexible. There is never a defined order. Also, pray that my ability to generate income exceeds my need to spend on needed items. I only have one job this time around because IBC is going to be taking a lot of my time this semester. I think that's it for this post.

Until next time.

Good day.

IBC 0 to 60 in five days

My life here at Cedarville has been rather busy for the past week and it looks like it will continue throughout the semester. By the end of the week we hope to have our product decided upon, so things are going really fast right now. I scarcely have time for video games anymore. One of the products I think we might do is an Android/iPhone app, but that depends on the screening process we are going to take when deciding on which products or services we will offer. For more information on the IBC and its goings on, visit my channel every day  http://www.youtube.com/user/DarthXentus.
I have a new entry up daily depicting that day's events and possible future projections on various things. Either subscribe or bookmark it to see new updates. Not much else to tell this week that hasn't already been covered in the vlogs.

Well, I might put more stuff in here if people comment and give suggestions for content. AND ACTUALLY USE THE COMMENT FUNCTION. or reply by email.

Anyway, happy Sunday and God bless y'all.

The Junior year

This is the first post for my Junior year here at Cedarville University, and things were interesting. Fall Bible Conference was awesome. Dr. Michael Easley was the speaker, and man did he have wisdom to share. For example, God's third greatest gift to man is Air Conditioning. Jesus is the first greatest, and Caffeine is second. :) Also, Psalm 50:21 has some interesting words, check it out. My internet here at Harriman House was out for the entirety of the first week, so many things have been delayed. One such item is my Daily Vlog on youtube. I have the first entry up, so here are lenks:

Be sure to subscribe to get notified when a new video is up.

Also, there is some cool stuff happening for the Integrated Business Core, I'll vlog about that later. And yeah, Here's to a good third year!

one more to go

Happy Easter to all!
I've had a relaxing easter weekend. Now I can tackle the rest of my homework and finals week.
Last week had no blog post because of some homework that needed doing. That said, I have no more papers for what little is left of the semester. Also, I would like some prayer, not only for finals, but for some other assignments. I need to interview someone in the field I'm interested in going into, and getting a reply is a little hard. so please pray that either I get through, or I can get a substitution assignment.

Anyways, that's about it for this post.

Good day to all.

I'm an old man

So my birthday has passed and I am now an old man of 20 years. Yay! I have s bit of homework that requires my attention so this is going to be short. Nothing speacial was done. Didn't really plan anything. Too much that needs doing. have a few more tests this week, so please pray for me.
I also went and bought Minecraft. nearly lost all productivity so I'm goingto put off playing it until I have some real freetime to actually play it and report on it.
Also, low 80s temp as of this writing. tomorrow will be back to 60s however.
that' all fo now

Well that was a lot of homework

A very late post this is. Here's why:
An annotated outline of the book of Colossians took up my weekend. After that, I had three problem sets in Biz Calc due by Wednesday. After all of that, I just felt like waiting for today before posting. In you haven't picked up by now, it was a lot of homework. Some of my other homework had to get tossed to the wayside in order to complete the more demanding stuff that would affect my grade more. I also skipped three days of chapel so I could have the extra time to work on stuff.

But now that is behind me and I should be fine for the rest for the rest of the semester.

I also bought the 3DS as a Birthday gift to myself. It is awesome. The 3D works wonderfully, and can't be accurately described with words. It must be experienced. Go to Gamestop or some other store and try it out for yourself. It just works.

Also, in all the April Foolery that went on over this weekend, a gem emerged.
Normally, when it comes to this song, I eye-roll and move along.
However, this is probably the only version that I'll ever like listening too.
Enjoy.

And I have one more video for you guys to watch.
It's footage from a game called Minecraft. It's still in its beta stage, but it is somehow one of the most liked games out there. There is no story or quest, just a world made of blocks that you can harvest and make stuff with. This video is about a GIANT ball of TNT and the aftermath of the detonation. It is epic.

Minecraft is a really interesting game where imagination is king. To prove my point further, some links to a 1:1 USS Enterprise replica.

Anyways, That's all for now. I have some tests coming up, so please pray.
And have a good day.

Spring break ends

And I'm back at college. I had a nice week at my friends house in Medina OH. There was a plan to go horseback rinding, but the soggy ground prevented that plan from going through. Apparently rinding in soggy ground is not a good idea. But aside from that, this was a much needed unwind from classes. And I did get to eat some great homecooking. During this time I purchased Pokemon Black and just completed the main campaign only a few hours before this post. The developers did so much to improve this game. You don't need the badges to use HMs, TMs are infinite use instead of having to find or buy them over and over, the story actually goes all the way to the Elite Four instead of dropping before the last gym, the list goes on. And the new pokemon are cool too. There wasn't much to do during spring break in case you haven't noticed. Now it is back to work and stuff. Next post will likely have the rest of my test scores up till now.

Ya'll have a good day now.

Spring break begins

To start with, things went through with my friend, so I am making this post from his house.

Now then, I got a B+ in my NT Lit class and an A- in my second Macro exam. Other test results will be gained when I return to campus after spring break. As for the rest of this week, I had some tests that I feel went very well, and I think we may be seeing a turnaround in Biz Calc. The next test after break will tell. Hopefully I'll be able to complete some homework while I'm here. Made dinner last night, Spaghetti with sausage, and it turned out pretty good. First time cooking sausage. And it was fully cooked the FIRST time.
Also, Congrats to my FRC team, Mechanical MAYHEM, for winning the Granite State Regional yet again. Good luck at nationals if you guys decide to go this year.

and now for a funny Comic:

And that's about it for this week.
Pray that i can get stuff done during this time.
Peace off!

Busy weekend = late post

Sorry for the lateness. Busy weekend.

To start off the festivities, I entertained some friends during open dorms on Friday. The only game played was Red Steel 2, mostly because everyone was having too much fun slashing enemies with mostly realistic movements. After which, I went down to the student's center watch a showing of Tangled. Nice take on the Rapunzel story, some things that didn't sit with me too well, but a good movie overall. the next morning, I have a video shoot to do for a friend as a paranormal hunter. After that, a dodgeball tourney in which my team lost the first match (whole tourney was basically owned by the athletes). From there it was a normal day. On Sunday it was homework followed by more shooting for the same project from yesterday. The director really wanted to have me and the other guy strung up by our feet hanging from a tree, but we couldn't figure out how to do it without risking out ankles, so we were just traditionally tied to the tree around the torso. After that, night out with friends to a thai restaurant for Sushi. We got something called the Chaitanic. 24 pieces of Sushi, 24 pieces of Sashimi, California roll set, Philadelphia roll set, and some other set of rolls, all on a oriental boat model type thing.. It. was. Amazing.

So yeah, busy weekend.

As far as spring break is concerned, I was going to go over to my roomies' house again, but he dropped the ball in the effective communication department (coughtalktofathernotmothercough), so I have to find someone else to hang with or else face isolation for over a week. I have a friend I'm waiting to get confirmation from, hopefully things will go through.

And that's the post.
Also,
HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY ZELDA AND LINK!!!!

Not want math plz

I got my Biz calc and Accounting 2 tests in. I ended up with C- and B respectively. Thankfully I am not failing at all in calc (just barely passing). On the work side, ever since we've started this semester I've had to deal with subs every Saturday. I don't mind training new people, but I would like some consistency from the "regulars" and maybe a month's worth of Saturdays where I don't have to worry about whether a sub is doing their job. Yeah.

Anyways, time for this week's featured person/song/game/comic/etc.
Today we bring our attention to a talented musician by the user name "miracleofsound"
What he makes are original video game inspired songs (not covers). Definitely worth looking into his work and possibly showing your support by buying his songs on his bandcamp site which can be gotten by the links on all of his videos. Here's a video as a sample for you to watch.

That's about all the interesting stuff this week.
Also, I got Starcraft 2 at the behest and pestering of my roommate. Tis a fun real time strategy game with a enormous amount of mods and maps available for multiplay. Now I can see why people like this game so much. that's all folks.
Ciao

Wet skies ahead

Well, I just have one more test this week and then I'm done with the first barrage. Unfortunately, I feel that this first batch of tests could've gone better. I do not feel all that confident with my biz calc test, and my Accounting test could've gone better I think. I don't have the scores yet, but I know I at least passed. As far as graded tests go, Stats 2 got 74/95 and Macro got an 84 (much better than last year's first exam for Micro). Now I play the waiting game for the other two and one.

Also, my dishpit crew found something cool this weekend:

They just found it like that. I'm keeping it. Might adjust a few parts you can't see from this angle when I have the ability to, just to symmetrize it.

Anyways, I feel that this is a rough start to the semester so please pray that things pick up for me.
Also, I finnaly finished playing through Infinite Space, a Sci-Fi RPG, and I will say the story is absolutely epic. Spoilers ahead for those that might actually try to play through for themselves and don'y want a digest.

Basically you start out as this 16 year-old kid who want's to explore space, but the feudal lord that rules your system won't let people off the planet you're on. The kid hires someone to take him off the planet, but has to return to save his sister from the feudal lord. Sister saved and feudal lord dead, you explore the cosmos helping out those in need and searching out the mysteries about these artifacts called "Epitaths". Eventual you learn of a coming invasion of a vast empire and the government totally underestimates the threat. You escape to another cluster of galaxies, forced to leave friends behind and experience the death of another. 10 years later you escape from a prison meant to keep you from causing panic by telling about the invading empire. from there you set out to fully unite the nations against the empire, only to find out the universe is about to meet it's end by the ones who made it and that the emperor of the invading forces is trying to unite the universe his own way to prevent this prophesy. A cease fire is signed, but the end of the universe has already begun. the only way to save everyone is to destroy the entryway into our universe that the creators are using which is located in our solar system and being powered by our sun. The emperor destroys the device using the sun to power the entryway, sacrificing his own life in the process. Whatever's left of the universe is now saved from annihilation.

SPOILERS END,

there is a hell of a lot more story to what I just said that really fleshes it out and makes it truly epic, but hopefully you got the idea.

anyway, that's all for now.

meh. tests are comming

In the next two weeks I will have my full barrage of tests from the rest of my classes. Please pray for me that i might do well in them. Not much to say this week. Hung with friends, watched a musical, lotsa cat videos, stuff like that. Had a going away party for one of my friends Saturday. He switched majors and lost a scholarship so he is no longer able to pay for this year. Hopefully he will be able to return next year. Anyways, just a quick update. not much to say. Have a good day. Hooray for the Packers.

In their tongue he is Dovahkiin, Dragonborn!

First, a teaser trailer to start this blog off.

Now then, what many of you readers are wondering about. I'm healed. Starting to get a feel for the homework for this semester too. So, hopefully I won't be too seriously bogged down by the requirements of my classes. Unfortunately, extracurricular activities will have to be kept minimal in order for me to keep a hold on homework.

As far as classes go, I seems to be getting the hang of things in Stats 2. Accounting 2 and Macroeconomics are about the same as last semester. NT and Biz Calc, however, will need some more time for me to figure out where I'll stand with them. Overall, teachers are fine. Also, I've picked up another work shift at the cafeteria as the second closedown manager. I also found out the only actual "work study" involves tutoring at the highschool. That is something I can't do because it would eat into my already scarce time at this point. Although, working at the cafeteria is supposedly a work study as well, based on the sign-in page when clocking in. But, regardless if there's one or two opportunities for work study, I'm stuck in Chuck's.

On a closing note, Nintendo's new handheld, the 3DS, is due to be released March 27th and is going to cost around $250. A bit steep, but understandable when one considers all that is going into this device. I intend to pick up one myself as my DS lite is on it's last legs right now with a dead button (from age) and cracked screen (thanks to airliners).

And that's all for now.
Peace off.

Blarg, blech, and blueh

Just a quick one to let everyone know that I'm alive (barely). It was a busy weekend filled with homework last week, which was why there was no post. This semester is off to a bad start. I have a carp ton of homework between Stats 2 and Biz Calc. Combine that with New Testament Lit, Accounting 2, and Macroecon and i'm almost drowning. On top of that, I'm sick right now. So yeah, Awesome.

Please pray
